Congratulations to Lion Jim Higgins who received the Lion of the Year Award for 2008-2009
3rd "Sight for Life" On Saturday August 22nd the Cadillac Lions Club held its 3rd annual “Sight for Life” Shotgun Golf Scramble over at the Missaukee Golf Club, located between Besides the change to this new location from last year we increased the golf from 9 to 18 holes for the outing. Tee-off started at 9:00 am, rain was forecasted for the day and rain is what we got varying from a mist to steady shower off and on throughout the day, but the 11 teams playing all swung ahead to complete the event. The scramble featured 5 challenge holes which included an opposite-handed tee-off and a blind folded tee-off. Prizes were given for the 1st three teams and door prizes and random drawings were held throughout the luncheon afterwards. By the end of the afternoon 109 prizes in total were given out not to mention $109 to our 50/50 winner. One lucky person even walked away with a 2 night stay donated by Sunset Shores Condominiums here in Cadillac as our main door prize. A good time was had by all who attended and helped out both on the golf course and off. We would like to thank the individuals and businesses in this community that supported this event either through sponsoring a hole or donating a prize.

Sink the "SHACK" on
Well this time around only 3/5th of the shack was recovered from the still icy waters early last spring and its currently being stored and restored so it can be returned to the ice, just as soon as we have some and when its safe to put it out there. So - slightly weathered, slightly worn, rebuilt and reinforced
"Sink the Shack" will be back!
The "Shack" will once again this year be located down across from the city park just behind the pavilion so when the ice begins to cover
Ticket sales will soon be open. A "thank you" to all those who bought tickets last year and a good luck to all of you that plan on taking another shot and buying tickets again this year!
("Sink the Shack" is 100% eco-friendly)
